The truffle, a precious and rare fruit of the earth, is celebrated in many Italian cities at different times of the year. White and black truffles are often on the tasting tables of the many events held in the fall or early months of the year dedicated to them and to the other products related to this tuber. Alba Truffle Festival

The International Truffle Fair is the most important food and wine event in Piedmont . Every year, in October , for almost two months, Alba and the surrounding area celebrate the precious tuber with a very rich program of events including exhibitions, exhibitions, show cooking, meetings and tastings.

What to do in Alba

Alba and the whole area of %u200B Langhe , which is between the provinces of Cuneo and Asti, are a dream for lovers of food and wine. Also in this territory there are many hilly paths perfect for walking and riding. Furthermore, Alba is one hour far away from Turin, the old capital of Italy.

San Miniato Truffle Fair

In Tuscany, generally in the last three weekends of November, the village of San Miniato which stands between Florence and Pisa, organizes the Truffle Fair: for these weekends the historical center hosts interesting workshops and delicious  tastings.

We move to Marche , precisely in Acqualagna , "Capitale del Tartufo", in the province of Pesaro Urbino , where every year, between October and November , the White Truffle Fair takes place. Guided tastings, themed conferences, and show cooking and collateral events to taste the products related to truffles typical of the area.

Acqualagna is located in an enchanting landscape, full of unspoiled nature and villages rich in history and culture. You can reach the nearby mountains Catria and Nerone to discover the area with nature trails on foot, by bike or on horseback. To visit the region of Montefeltro and the village of Montefabbri a country where time seems to have stopped in 1400.

Norcia Black Truffle Fair

In the province of Perugia , it is worth visiting the Norcia Black Truffle Fair which takes place from the 50s, on weekends between February and March , an enogastronomic paradise where the main protagonist is the Norcia's Precious Black Truffle, which you can enjoy here in many and unusual culinary versions as well as knowing its history and uses through conferences and workshops.

Located near the Sibillini Mountains , Norcia offers beautiful scenery and a lush and untouched nature After a visit to the churches and historic buildings of the center, we suggest you to reach Castelluccio di Norcia , a small village in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains, where the famous lentils. While the more adventurous and sporty can go hiking , walking or mountain biking and horseback riding on the many trails in the area.
