The Cinque Terre National Park gives the opportunity to follow a series of paths that wind along the coast or lead to the sanctuaries. The most famous trail is the Sentiero Azzurro, which runs along the sea connecting the five localities, from Riomaggiore to Monterosso. Easily walkable, has a difference in height that excedes 500m. The first part of the Sentiero Azzurro is the Via dell'Amore, a path overlooking the sea that stands out in the rock and connects Manarola to Riomaggiore. The Sentiero dei Santuari connects, halfway up, the five sanctuaries of the five villages through steep mule tracks that are still today traveled by believers during the anniversaries. The Sentiero Rosso or Sentiero di Crinale is a more difficult but it offers a very scenic route that connects Portovenere to Levanto. It is about 40km long and reaches a height difference of 1300m. Vernazza

Vernazza is an elegant village characterized by tower houses grouped in amphitheater around a small cove and dominated by the defensive walls and the castle tower. The historical center is crossed by narrow and steep caruggi that from the main street lead to the square in front of the evocative port, the only natural harbor of the 5 Terre. Corniglia

Corniglia is the only village of the Cinque Terre that is not located directly on the sea, is located on a small promontory at 100m above sea level from which you can admire the other villages. Manarola

Manarola is the most scenic of the Cinque Terre for the colorful houses that slope down to the small port and the panoramic terraces. It is renowned for the production of olive oil and for the fine Sciacchetrà passito wine, produced only in this area. At the top of the village is the main square, where religious buildings are concentrated, including the Oratory of the Disciplinati, the Bell Tower and the Church of San Lorenzo. Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is the first village of the Cinque Terre that you reach coming from La Spezia.
