Info and Description

In the city or in the countryside? In a Farmhouse, in a Villa or in a B&B? Are you planning your holiday in Tuscany and you are undecided about where to stay? Here are some suggestions to help you decide where to stay in Tuscany based on the days you have available, the period in which you travel, the type of holiday you want to do and according to the means with which you intend to move.

How many days to visit Tuscany?

To fully enjoy this beautiful region of Italy and capture its essence, we suggest you stay at least a week. Usually tourists who come to Tuscany for the first time, tend to dedicate one or even half a day to visit the main or more famous destinations. Right choice if the time available is little, but in this way you risk not to fully enjoy the place and lost the little things that are, then, even the most genuine.

Where to stay in Tuscany if you have a few days

If you have only a few days, we recommend you as a base for your travels, the Tuscan countryside between Pisa , Florence and Siena, which also includes the Chianti area. A central area that will allow you to easily reach the main tourist destinations, including Lucca, Arezzo, San Gimignano or the Etruscan Coast . Here you can spend a quiet stay in a real farm where you can taste the typical dishes prepared with the products of local companies, choose between our Holiday Homes and properties with swimming pool if you travel in the summer or an apartment if you prefer to be independent or a Educational Farm if you are traveling with children.

Where to stay in Tuscany for more than a week

If you can extend your holiday beyond the week , you could stay in two different areas. With a few days of accommodation in the north, maybe in a farmhouse near Lucca or Pisa you could visit Barga or reach the beautiful Cinque Terre .

Overnight in the south of Tuscany, in the Crete Senesi , in Val d'Orcia or in Maremma instead, you will be able to reach not only the most famous destinations, but also small characteristic villages, such as Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza , the many natural springs, including Saturnia or the beautiful Costa dell'Argentario .
