Our cottages were an ancient and characteristic coach inn from the 1600s, surrounded by a very large private park of 3 hectares (7 acres), placed in a strategic location that allows excellent mobility and easy access to practically everything: just below the high mountains of the two famous Majella and Gran Sasso National Parks, but only 30 minutes to beaches and to beautiful wilder Sea Reserves. Just 3 minutes by car to the first fully equipped Village. So that there are endless possibilities for trekking, tours to medieval monuments nestled by nature and various other activities and sports, as well as easy daily tours to Rome.

FARM HOLIDAYS’ CHARACTERISTICS: inside the small Borgo (Farm Holidays village), besides the 2 small pools, there are charming courtyards and gardens where the various self apartments overlook. Each of them is completely autonomous and has private entrance and outdoor ares, all renovated with great attention to our guests’ privacy and tranquility. The entire facility stands on an archeological park from the Bronze Age where you can see among the vegetation precious ancient Menhirs and original  finds of the Roman age. Further romantic notes are the old little Tower and the nineteenth-century Moorish arches of the main building, which frame the central courtyard, all illuminated in the evening by several scenographic lights. The various gardens are inhabited by various small farm pets, which roam freely within the park in search of caresses and… maybe even a bit of food ! The whole area is flat and is surrounded by a large countryside that produces local specialties.

Throughout the farmhouse, its large park and various equipment (including the two small swimming pools), entry is only allowed to guests residing in the apartments. By choice we do not do catering (also because we are only 350 meters from the first restaurant) so tranquility, privacy and exclusivity of the use of the various facilities is of fundamental importance to guarantee a peaceful holiday for our guests !

APARTMENTS and FACILITIES: the Borgo has 9 self apartments of different sizes and types (from 2 up to 4 beds, each with the possibility of extra beds) and is divided into 3 main buildings not far from each other. All of them offer a lot of privacy, are spacious, have private entrance and garden with veranda (or terrace) for exclusive use where you can enjoy relaxation in complete freedom or eat with a panoramic view of the park and the nearby mountains. They have been renovated respecting the local architectural typologies and furnished with period furniture and objects from Abruzzo tradition, but they are also equipped with all the new technologies and comforts, as air conditioning and an excellent free WiFi connection (inside but also in the outdoor and pool areas).

At guests' disposal there are two small charming pools, built in the style of the old rural fountains, with a panoramic view of the mountains. All around a large solarium surrounded by nature, ideal for relaxing in a quiet atmosphere and enjoying the sun or the shade of our secular trees, a pleasant space equipped for a strictly personal use of each guest (sunbeds, deck chairs, coffee tables, etc.). Entrance is reserved exclusively to the farmhouse' residents to preserve the tranquility of the place. In a secluded area we offer some outdoor equipment under a large Moorish-style tensile structure, such as table tennis, table football, mountain bikes, barbecue, etc.

The facility is also very suitable for children and families because it is all flat and free of dangers (fenced pools and shallow waters). It is also well suited for GROUPS (more or less large) or, in some seasons of the year, for small charming events and meetings. Of course, young people and couples also have many points of attraction and interest, including the surrounding area extremely rich in biodiversity and changing landscapes, sports and trekking activities, but also services and facilities from nearby cities, perfect for those who also love to simply relax or enjoying a bit of "Dolce Vita" ...

SELF-CATERING and RESTAURANT: guests can enjoy great Freedom & Autonomy, being able to take advantage both of the "Residence Formula" (i.e. for those who love “freedom” from schedules and menus ...), and the "All Inclusive Formula" (for those who want a "complete service").

"Residence Formula": generally we do not provide breakfast and catering service (except for special events), in fact we have preferred to opt for a formula that gives the widest possible freedom and autonomy to our guests. Each apartment is equipped with kitchenette (or regular kitchen) provided of everything needed to cook, including a "welcome kit" (coffee, sugar, our extra virgin olive oil, detergents, sponges, etc. - this service is suspended during Covid period), in addition to all various dishes and equipment for self-catering (including Italian moka coffee maker, toaster, microwave, barbecue, etc.). We are also at 600 meters from the first supermarket that offers everything (bakery, butcher, etc. - even fresh products and some local specialties) with an excellent quality/price ratio and very close to further food & take-away services.

“All inclusive Formula" (for those who don't want to cook on their own): however we are only 350 meters away from the first nearby restaurant/trattoria, reachable also on foot (about 15/20 € for a complete meal). There it is possible also to have "simple" breakfasts ("Italian style" only) and take advantage of the take-away service for the typical Abruzzo specialty: the "Arrosticini" (grilled sheep meat skewers) with "Bruschetta" (toasted bred with olive oil, garlic and more ...). A second restaurant is only 3 minutes away by car, offering an agreement for half board (1 meal a day, lunch or dinner, drinks not included) 

CHILDREN & BOYS and DEDICATED SERVICES:

The farm is very suitable for children, more or less small, because it is all flat, free of dangers, as well as being equipped with two small outdoor swimming pools with shallow waters and protected accesses that are resistant to small children. Furthermore, the first inhabited center with all services is just 3 minutes away by car.

All spaces (indoor and outdoor) are provided by a good free WiFi service with fast navigation. In the large park of 3 hectares in the summer months we also have a recreational area with table tennis, table football, a volleyball court and a mini volleyball court, mountain bikes for hire, deck chairs, sun loungers, hammocks, umbrellas and swings ( all freely usable).

The gardens are also animated by a small educational farm with some domestic and farm animals that roam freely: "Polpetta", a very sweet and playful Golden Retriever dog (be careful ... with "easy licking"); the great ass “Tempesta”, the king (who runs away when he hears the thunder); five affectionate dwarf goats (even too much ... some "live on two feet" in order to better steal food from the hands), four "social sheep" (including "Mirko", who stalks and "expropriates" the food from the laid tables) , several cats (a strange mix of colors, races and personalities ...), a few free-range hens (everyone competes for the precious eggs to "steal" from the hen house) and other sporadic fauna (squirrels, peacocks, wild boars - which already have eaten do not worry, rarely deer and in winter wolves and porcupines).

In addition to the possible activities described above, in the surroundings there are some places equipped for children and teenagers that offer various services. For example: a donkey riding center; a place similar to a Bio-park with large enclosures for typical Apennine animals such as wolves, eagles, deer, wild boars, etc .; an equestrian center for children (with internal riding stables or external horse riding excursions); a center that organizes the descent of the river by canoe in complete safety, or quiet trips by e-bike (with a carrier for younger children); etc. There is also the possibility of countless walks and excursions suitable for all needs, from the smallest to the largest, in the mountains, by the sea or in the ancient and fascinating historic centers and castles of Medieval Abruzzo.

The sea is only 30 minutes by straight and comfortable road and also offers comfortable and well-equipped sandy beaches. A 40-minute drive away there are 2 fascinating wilder Marine Reserves.

In some apartments there is a washing machine inside, for others there is the possibility of using one for common use. For younger children, in addition to cots with sides (1.35 m long), on request we can provide a high chair, a stroller, a backpack for carrying children.

N.B. during the winter, many activities are suspended.
