Boveglio is a delightful and ancient Tuscan village, located in the municipality of Villa Basilica, between the provinces of Lucca and Pistoia, whose origins date back to the Middle Ages and more precisely to the 8th century.
The town, which once housed a castle which has now disappeared, still bears many signs of its medieval origins intact. Stone portals delimit the perimeter of the ancient walls, while in the highest part of the town stands the Clock Tower, originally a watchtower.
Also characteristic are narrow paved streets, fountains and wash houses, still used today.
