Endroit magnifique avec des propriétaires géniaux. Cristina et Marcio nous ont très bien accueilli, et nous ont donné de bons conseils tout au long du séjour. Ils sont disponibles et très serviables. La localisation du gîte nous a permis de visiter Pise et Florence tout comme de magnifiques sites naturels.

La posizione dell'agriturismo è pittoresca e il paesaggio circostante è bellino

Le nostre due famiglie (4 adulti e 4 bambini da 5 e 7 anni) hanno trascorso le vacanze dal 15.07.2023 al 24.07.2023 nell'appartamento Casa Masi. Sebbene ci siano stati aspetti positivi, dobbiamo anche menzionare alcuni punti critici. La posizione dell'agriturismo è pittoresca e il paesaggio circostante è bellino. Tuttavia, i villaggi circostanti sono tutti poco spettacolari. La struttura stessa emana un fascino rustico che si adatta all'atmosfera toscana. Il personale è stato disponibile ma riservato. Purtroppo, però, ci sono state alcune carenze significative che hanno condizionato il nostro soggiorno. Il problema principale era la mancanza di aria condizionata nelle camere. Durante il nostro soggiorno in luglio, le stanze diventavano estremamente calde ed era impossibile dormire decentemente. Questo ha influito molto sul nostro comfort e ha contribuito al fatto che non ci siamo sentiti veramente riposati. Un altro punto critico è stata la mancanza di strutture adatte ai bambini. Non c'erano strutture di gioco o spazi aperti adeguati per i bambini. Il complesso è costruito in modo molto stretto, il che ha portato a una mancanza di privacy e di possibilità di fuga. La piscina era chiaramente troppo piccola per il numero di ospiti, soprattutto quando l'agriturismo era al completo. Questo ha fatto sì che l'area della piscina fosse affollata e che fosse difficile trascorrere momenti tranquilli e rilassanti. Purtroppo il rumore dei bambini ha creato disagio agli altri ospiti. Questo ha rovinato l'atmosfera e ci ha fatto sentire a disagio. Nel complesso, il nostro soggiorno all'Agriturismo ci ha lasciato sentimenti contrastanti. Sebbene il paesaggio e il fascino rustico siano stati impressionanti, siamo stati frustrati dal caldo nelle camere, dalla mancanza di strutture adatte ai bambini e dall'affollamento della piscina. Ci auguriamo che queste critiche vengano affrontate in futuro per offrire un'esperienza più piacevole ai futuri ospiti con bambini. A dire il vero, la struttura è più adatta a persone senza figli.

Authentische und natürlich Unterkunft - Man sieht das hier viel Liebe in kleine Details gefloßen ist. Auch für unseren 11 Monate alten Sohn, war alles nötige vorhanden - Babybett und Babystuhl. Die Gastgeber waren überaus zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich, haben sich Zeit für unsere Fragen und den ein oder anderen kurzen Plausch genommen - und sprechen sehr gutes Englisch. Die Unterkunft bietet auch hervoragende Spezialitäten die man im hauseigenen Tante-Ema-Laden erstehen kann. An Tieren waren 4 Pferde, 3 Katzen, 1 Hund vor Ort - Allesamt recht freundliche Zeitgenoßen, Sorgen beim Streicheln braucht man hier nicht haben. Die Umgebung war idylisch und ruhig, um 20:00 spielt die Kirchenuhr im Tal eine wunderbare Melodie. Nachts findet man Ruhe und Erholung.

Wij hebben het met onze dochter van 1,5 jaar heerlijk gehad hier. Er valt veel rond de scharrelen op het mooie complex, het zwembad is perfect en het uitzicht is waanzinnig. De eigenaren waren zeer vriendelijk, warm en behulpzaam. Het eten is verrukkelijk en heel verzorgd.

Had all the amenities and great for a short break to explore northern Tuscany. Also great location for the Moto GP at Mugello. Hosts were very helpful and the evening meal was excellent in terms of quality and value

The road up from the village is a bit hairy for those unused to mountain roads and the few drainage channels need careful negotiation on a motor bike

Local eating places are good and reasonable but take advantage of the excellent food served by your hosts.

“Ein runder Urlaub”

Sehr nette, freundliche Vermieter Schönes Anwesen und für einen alten Hof sehr gepflegt und sauber Saubere, gepflegte Wohnungen sehr ruhig gelegen.

Für uns als Familie: Keine

Zuerst möchte ich mich bei Marco bedanken für das Western-Reit-Erlebnis und seine Geduld mit unserer Tochter. Als Tip für die Anfahrt und um Barberino del Mugello 488 zu finden: Selbst bei unserem alten Navi gibt es als Adresse Localitá Celle Corboli, diese führt Sie direkt zum Ziel. Die letzten Meter sind allerdings sehr beschwer- lich, besonders mit größeren Fahrzeugen (wir haben einen Ford Galaxy) ist schon Geschick gefordert. Aber nicht nur auf dem Weg von und nach Barberino del Mugello 488, grundsätzlich sollte das Fahrzeug für diese Gegend technisch top sein. Bringen Sie nach Möglichkeit eine Grundausstattung an Lebensmitteln mit zumindest für das Frühstück, jede Anfahrt kostet richtig viel Zeit und ist nichts für "mal eben Brot kaufen". Im Ort selbst bekommt man alles was man braucht. Wer es "schöner" will: Richtung Prato gibt es einen nagelneuen großen Coop, Fahrzeit ab Ortsmitte ca. 10 - 15 min.. Die Landschaft ist sehr schön, erinnert aber eher an das Sauerland, "typisch" toskanisch wird es erst nach ca. 1 Std. Richtung Süden, hat uns aber nicht gestört, wir wußten das vorher. Zum Hof selbst spare ich mir weitere Ausführungen, es ist alles perfekt beschrieben und die Fotos stimmen 1:1 überein. Was tun? Wir waren 14 Tage vor Ort und haben alle 2 Tage einen Ausflug gemacht: Florenz ganz klar ein MUSS, und am Besten mit dem Zug nach Florenz, hier ein 24 Std.-Busticket kaufen und los gehts. Pisa und Lucca ist auch ein klares Muß, haben wir mit dem Auto gemacht Prato war nicht unser Fall, Pistoia dagegen schon, hier auch mal in die unzähligen Gärtnereien reinschauen und die Markttage nicht vergessen. Outlet Barberino ist auch empfehlenswert, besonders zum Ende der Saison. Auch der See ist sehr zu empfehlen. Dazwischen haben wir entspannte Tage auf Barberino del Mugello 488 verbracht. Toller Pool, tolle Tiere - besonders Hofhund Lexi und natürlich die Pferde haben es unserer Tochter angetan. Nebenbei trifft man alle Arten von Insekten von der Ameise über Schmetterling bis zum Skorpion, aber nichts davon in der Wohnung. Christina und Marco sind immer ansprechbar aber nie aufdringlich, wenn man will hat man seine absolute Ruhe. Christinas Kochkünste konnten wir leider nicht probieren, da Sie mit einer Augen-OP zu kämpfen hatte - gute Besserung auf diesem Wege - und sind daher oft zum Essen auswärts gewesen. Entweder die Empfehlung von Marco oder aber im nächsten Dorf. Hier die Ab-/ Anfahrt runter ins Dorf, auf der Haupt- straße rechts abbiegen und weiter bis zum nächsten Dorf, hier gibt es nach einer Linkskurve auf der linken Seite ein kleines Restaurant. Hier wird allerdings keine Fremdsprache gesprochen, wir sind auch ohne Italienisch-Kenntnisse klargekommen und haben immer sehr gut gegessen. Einfach auch mal schauen, was die Einheimischen essen, sehr zu empfehlen und preisgünstig. Unser Fazit: Man kann hier auf einem schönen Hof einen ruhigen entschleunigenden Urlaub verbringen, mit schönen Wanderungen und wenn es zu ruhig wird mal eben Sightseeing- oder Shoppingtouren oder einen Bade- tag am See einstreuen. Ein Fahrzeug ist allerdings Plicht, wer Fit genug ist kann sicherlich auch tolle Touren mit dem Mountainbike machen. Was einem vorher klar sein muß: - Die Landschaft ist nicht das, was man sich unter Toskana vorstellt - Von Barberino del Mugello 488 aus geht es nur Berg rauf oder runter - Für jeden Weg ist ein Fahrzeug nötig

This is a great place for a family vacation. The owners are wonderful people. They offer plenty of fresh and healthy food/produce for sale. Upon request, they even prepare delicious meals. My 12-year-old had lots of fun looking at the pigs. We also enjoyed the other animals there, including the horses, cats and, not to forget Lexi, a great dog!

Access to the farm via a steep, narrow and curvy road is a bit challenging, especially for passengers who get car sick easily.

I can highly recommend this farm as a great place to stay to relax, especially for a family with kids who like animals. If you plan to do lots of driving to explore Tuscany and have family members who are prone to car sickness, you might be better off staying at a facility that is a bit easier to reach.

Our hosts were most hospitable, offering suggestions for family-friendly outings. The food, featuring local products, was excellent. The children enjoyed the pigs, horses, dog, and cats.

The location is in the Tuscan hill country, so the road up to the agriturismo is steep and narrow. But don't let that stop you!

Be sure to ask for Signora Christiana's biscotti recipe, and you may be treated to a baking lesson in her kitchen plus plenty of biscotti to take home.

My husband and I stayed at this place for a week, at the beginning of August 2013 and we are pleased to say that our experience there was highly positive. Its location is excellent, particularly for those who wish to have an idyllic vacation away from the city noise, enjoying the beauty of nature. For those interested in sightseeing, the property is also a great option, although in that case it would be highly advisable to arrive by car. For example, Florence is approximately 50 km away, Bologna is aproximately 80 km away, Lucca is also 80 km away, Pisa is 100 km away, etc. Accomodation is cozy and very appealing. Tidiness of the overall farm should be highly commended, as well as very thoughtful organization of all its facilities. We were impressed with the high level of professionalism by the hosts. As for the hosts, we have nothing but positive words for both of them - they were exceptionally kind and forthcoming, patiently answering all our questions. The view is absolutely marvelous and breathtaking. Nearest store (Coop) is about 1,5 km away - it is good to take a car there since the road going to the place is quite steep. It works Monday to Saturday, all day. There are also many agricultural products that you can by at the farm, at reasonable prices. For example, a bottle of tasty red wine is only 3 euros. Water (both natural and with gas) is provided for free, as well as tea, and coffee can be made for 0,50 euros per cup. Lunch can be ordered for a price of 20 euros per person - we had one such lunch, ravioli with pesto Genovese, and it was excellent. The pool (available to all guests) can be used every day between 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. It is approximately 12 meters long and 4 meters wide, with water of comfortable temperature. For those interested in surfing the web, there is one common room where free Wi-FI is available, although the connection tends to be relatively slow. Unfortunately, connection is not available in other parts of the farm. All in all, we are more than glad that we chose the property for our vacation and we highly recomend it.

None that should be particularly noted.

Bien arrangé, soucis du détail, belle piscine. Nous avions deux gîtes, un pour les trois enfants et un pour nous deux (Casa Landi et Casa Tocafondi). Très agréable pour un tarif très avantageux. Les propriétaires sont discrets, pas du genre à trop s'immiscer et présents si nécessaire. De la piscine, on voit de beaux arbres, la campagne vallonnée. Parfait !

Goutez le pesto de Maria Christina ! Les accès routier sur quelques kms sont de type "montagne", virages serrés et pentus, donc, prudence. Bon séjour.

Large and complete accommodation, swimming pool, beautiful view. The owners also have a very good restaurant.

Just be aware that you are not in the middle of the most touristic part of Toscana. But is that a negative aspect? ;-)

If you go by plain, travel from Firenze, and not from Pisa airport. Pisa airport is a small airport with lousy services and car rental companies that treat you very bad.

As regards the negative ones : Our place is 1,5 km from the village,just 5 min. drive Vernio is a small village with few hundreds people : there is a supermarket and two food shops. The pool is cleaned up in the night by an electric robot that can't be used in the daytime for safety reasons. Wearing a bathing cap by long haired people surely helps.

C'est notre première expérience en agritourismo et nous n'oublierons pas de sitôt l'hospitalité de Maria-Christina et Marcio. On a adoré le lieu avec vue sur les collines. La cuisine de Maria-Christina était délicieuse ainsi que les produits de la maison (salami, confitures, biscuits, prociuto...)

Situé à 30 minutes de l'autoroute, il est facile d'accéder aux grandes villes d'art. Le village n'est pas touristique et les commerçants sont très accueillants et serviables, les prix sont très raisonnables.

+ The food served was delicious :) Better than in any restaurant we visited in Florence or Siena. + The view was great + Swimming pool was very nice + Every house had its own umbrella and table, that we could have a romantic dinner with beautiful landscape as background + We were welcomed with red wine and biscuits - that was great after the long journey + It was not as hot as in the cities + Small village in the valley has good shops with food

- For the first two days our apartment had some specific smell ;) (probably it was waiting for some time being empty) - Little bit to far away from Florence/Siena/Pisa

Try meals prepared by Christina. Try nice wine. Visit horses and pigs :) Do not travel a lot, cities are crowded and hot. Use train from Vernio to get to Florence.

The house is comfortable and has all the necessary equipment in the kitchen. Linen and towls were supplied. The rooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms were renovated. It was very comfortable to have two bathrooms in the suite. We could use the washing machine, which was great as we didn't have to carry so much with us overseas. We stayed there a couple with three children 17,13,8 and we all loved the place. The pool was the right thing in this very hot summer. The view, the calm atmosphere and the warm welcome of the owners were wonderful. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. Maria christina is a great cook. We ate dinner once and loved the food. I bought extra jams to take with me. There are special amenities like water and soda water to get free which we appreciated very much. Also there is a library stuffed with maps, books and additional information to support the guests, and was very helpful to us.

The farm is located about 20 minutes away from the highway which provides access to all Tuscany towns and attractions. The access is steep and slightly off the main road. The house is a genuine farm house, authentic and furnished accordingly. It is very suitable for those who appreciate the authenticity and ambiance, and less for those who look for luxury.

We strongly recommend urban tourists like us to reach the place during day time. The beauty of the farm is in its location on the hill in the wood. Yet some might find it confusing to find in the dark.

Vernio was so homelike. We had a wonderfully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and clean. They even gave us extra linens when the nights became cool. The views were awesome and hearing the church bells in the village below was so special. The food was very good but we only had a dinner meal and a breakfast. I wish we would have had time for more of their home grown and prepared foods.

The only possible negative aspect was the very steep roads going there. We had a small low powered manual car and it was a challenge getting it up the drive and the mountainside.

Owners are great for touring advice and are willing to help. It was great to have a washer and dryer available and best of all table and chairs on the veranda to play cards and relax for a day. They even had a really sweet dog who liked to chase pine cones.

Comment by the Owner The furniture age can be a matter of opinion (by the way we're proud of our dated furniture ,we are an agriturismo , not a centre-of-the-town hotel), but ''lack of owner presence'' is a nonsense: we live here and we are ALWAYS present (not always in front of guests' doors , actually).The last 500 metres are steep but the road is paved. Anyway the website reports it very clearly .We frankly don't understand how towels and linens could be more bountiful.

The apartment was very comfortable,the amenities (washer, dryer, swimming pool, patio furniture) great. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The view is fantastic!!

If you want to go to the village you will have to drive down a very steep and winding road. To visit any of the larger nearby cities it will take 30 t0 60 minutes by car or train.

If you can, be sure to have at least one evening meal on site. The selection of meats and bruschetta are delicious. If you are going to visit Firenze or Prato, the train in Vernio is very convenient and doesn't cost much. You can park your car near the station, and the last train back from Firenze leaves at 10:30pm.

Owners were fantastic and so helpful. Food was excellent and also self catering equipment great. The setting and facitilies were fantastic. Clean and comfortable. Great Swimming Pool. Easy access to other parts of Tuscany - close to train station but quite far off main highway (a plus!!!)

Directions are a bit confusing - but managed with a Navigation system. Distances in Tuscany don't seem that far, but with road works, speed limits and windy roads it takes long to get to places - always give yourself extra time!

The owners did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was very pleasant to meet them here. We enjoy the perfect train connection to Firenze. The visit to Firenze was our main interest in Tuscany.

The only problem when travelling to Apartment "Casa Zanieri" was the description of the access there. We missed the crossing despite using GPS navigation. But it was not difficult to find the proper way asking local people.

Be very careful driving to Apartment "Casa Zanieri" by bad weather, the way is very, very steep.

You're right about the GPS systems,some of them drive our guests just in front of the door , other make them get lost.The best solution is following the directions in the website. not very touristy - more homely and not many other tourists beautiful location great views very tidy and cute house where we stayed good food friendly owners the house was well equipped for cooking beautiful surroundings overall - great place

it would have been nice if we got a bit more information when we arrived - for example more details of how to get meals from the farm, how to go horseriding or tips about the local area also this place is located in the north of tuscany, so the trips to sienna, chianti, etc. take a bit too long..

When booking a house ask for one that has an outside table with a view. It's so nice to have breakfast in the morning looking over the mountains. I think one of the houses had a table facing the yard. Also, the pizzeria in the local town serves great food and is very good value for money.

Very quiet residence and few other people staying during our visit

Not that we were particularly concerned however the self catering opportunity was limited.

You'll need a car to reach this place, and some nerves to drive up the hill! Yhere are not too many eating out opportunities in the vacinity, however your host will more than make up for this with some superb home cooking.

Be prepared for steep, twisting roads

Once you make friends with their beautiful dog (German shepard?) be prepared to have a friend for life. He loves to play fetch with pine cones and will camp out at your door if you are a dog person.

wonderful quiet scenic location, great place to take a break/breather in an otherwise hectic travel itinerary. Owners even accommodated a gluten-free diet!

some units have units above them that make the lower ones noisy with footsteps overhead

located high on a rural hillside, the nearest village for walking to and grocery shopping etc was down a steep road that would not be suitable for poor walkers. Views of the valley below are spectacular and restful from all units

the road up to the farm is very steep and windy, not good to walk from town to the farm.

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaars, geweldige kookfestijnen voor een goede prijs, verzorgd door de gastvrouw.

Ligging in Toscane is niet ideaal voor uitstapjes. Je moet eerst een 20 tal kilometer op een kleine slingerbaan doorworstelen voor je ergens naar toe kan

Zeker gebruik maken van de mogelijkheid om ter plaatse de kookkunst van de gastvrouw te degusteren.
