Our property is a small, expertly renovated farmhouse, where the atmosphere of times gone by still lingers.

Our warm, family-friendly hospitality will guide you through the many small, exquisite delights of our region, allowing you to spend days of tranquility and well-being, far from the hustle and bustle of the modern city, immersed in nature.

The farmhouse offers plenty of outdoor space, a breakfast room, and three en-suite bedrooms on the first floor, converted from existing spaces—two doubles and one triple. A triple bedroom is located on the ground floor, with independent access from the garden.

We are located on the edge of a monumental chestnut grove with centuries-old trees that have survived the elements and diseases over the centuries, about 800 meters from the provincial road and 2 km from the village of Castel d'Aiano.

History
The construction of the house is uncertain. The first part perhaps dates back to the late 1700s, while the second dates back to 1850. It was the parish prebend of the parish priest of Rocca di Roffeno and served as a reliable source of food (chestnuts), even for the less well-off. Once the harvest was over, anyone in need could "glean" (pick up the leftovers).
A bullet remains embedded in the façade wall, a reminder of the dark period of World War II: we are, in fact, at the foot of Monte della Spe, a site of trenches and a key point on the Gothic Line.

Rooms
The farmhouse offers rustic-style rooms, located on the ground and first floors. The property can accommodate up to 9 people. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, common areas, and the exterior. You can choose a Bed and Breakfast stay, with a sweet and savory breakfast served in the breakfast room on the ground floor or, weather permitting, at the outdoor tables outside the building.
The rooms are welcoming and simple, with views of the chestnut grove or the valley.

Here, no one will organize your day; you can enjoy the silence and tranquility of our home, spending the whole day reading a good book, listening to good music, immersed in the rhythms of nature, and patiently waiting for the appearance of some wild animal at sunset.

Our Agriturismo is the ideal destination for exploring Emilia-Romagna, with art cities like Bologna (also accessible by train), Modena, Ferrara, and Parma, as well as Tuscan cities like Florence and Pistoia, all within an hour to an hour and a half's drive. We're also located along several hiking trails, including the Piccola Cassia, the Gothic Line, and the Treasury of the Rhine Trail, and are just 800 meters from the Eurovelo 7 route.

For hikers or cyclists traveling in groups (minimum 4), dinner on the day of arrival and a hearty breakfast are available upon reservation.

For stays of at least 5 nights, we can offer use of the kitchen for €12 per day.
